Starting a business or side hustle is a big job—it’s hard to know where to start. But in 2024 we know your business needs a website. With so many incredible tools at our disposal, it’s certainly possible to DIY, but first—let us teach you the basics.

Led by local Art Director and Graphic Designer Jess Wells, this intimate two day workshop has been carefully designed to be super practical. You’ll learn all you need to know about getting your Squarespace website launched, and none of the stuff you don’t. After two days together, you’ll be well on your way to launching a brand new (and very beautiful) website.

  • No! You don’t need a thing.

    We will send you a pre-workshop workbook to complete. but aside from that… you just bring your computer and your wonderful self!

  • Nope—this is a “no experience necessary” course. It will help if you have a good eye for style, but even that isn’t necessary as we can help you there!

  • This depends on the size of your website and how much of your content you can compile in advance. If not entirely complete—you will be very close!

  • Squarespace is the ideal platform for service based businesses, influencers, artists and makers to build a beautiful, maintainable presence and brand online. If you have any specific questions regarding the suitability of Squarespace for your business, email us at hello@fieldsoffolly.com

  • Yes! But if it’s BIG scale ecommerce you’re looking at, apply and we can discuss whether this is the right fit for you. In some cases Shopify might be a better fit, but we can make sure to point you in the right direction.

  • Short answer… yes!

    The most important thing to note is that you will be building your new site from scratch in this workshop.

    From experience, this makes life a whole lot easier! You can take the bits you like, and leave behind the bits you don’t.

I know all about the trials and tribulations of small business—and I truly believe that having a beautiful brand and website shouldn’t be one of them! My mission is to empower your beautiful business by sharing the skills I’ve gained over my many years of working as a designer for companies—large and small.

My goal is not to turn you into a designer—we still need those—but it is to help you do better DIY. When your business is blooming big and bright, you will happily delegate all this to a talented and clever designer. But for now, this workshop will help get you there.
